I became enamored with catering while living in Austin in the 80’s and 90’s, employed as a caterer when I moved to Seattle in 1995, and a catering company owner when I opened City Catering Company in 2001. I find catering fun and incredibly challenging: in the course of a day, we can transform nothing into an event (we once cleared a cow pasture, set up a 12-man kitchen, and served a full service meal to 300 people over the span of 16 hours). City Catering Company has grown to mean more to me than I ever envisioned. Today I find myself not just a caterer, but an employer of some incredible people. People who have helped me shape this company into what it is today and who I have grown to respect and value as more than just employees.
