A LITTLE HISTORY…

City Catering Company was founded in 2001 with a desire to pair seasonal and fresh food with warm professional service and a sleek urban style. Named by Seattle Magazine as Seattle’s Most Creative Caterer, we are chefs, style gurus, craft bartenders, and service geeks. We have extensive experience in the corporate, non-profit, and private sectors and cater a wide range of events throughout the greater Puget Sound Region.

Needing a larger facility, in 2010 we converted a 6000 square foot service garage in South Lake Union into a production kitchen and small event space. City Catering has received deservedly good press in both local and national publications including Cooking Light, Biz Bash, Your Wedding Day, Seattle Bride, Seattle Metropolitan Bride & Groom, and Seattle Magazine. We are a client oriented company that strives to build long-term relationships.

We believe in building around our core strengths: a strong kitchen team, innovative bar program, trained and motivated staff, and top notch logistics. Events are reviewed by the leadership of each department and then discussed and finalized in a weekly planning session. It is through this process that we insure that the details get the attention they deserve and that your event unfolds as you envisioned.

2001: City Catering Founded

2003: Move to Capitol Hill unifying warehouse and kitchen operations

2004: First Walk-In Expansion. 60 Quart Hobart Mixer

2005: Hire a part-time bar manager. Buy our first van off E-bay

2006: Full Time Sous Chef! First Venue Agreement

2007: Second Walk-In Expansion

2008: Everyone stay calm and hold on

2009: Full Time Bar Manager

2010: Bottle and Keg our first cocktails

2011: Move to South Lake Union

2012: Buy a man lift, dock lift, and expand our 1 year old walk-in

2013: Full Time Staffer

2014: Renovate the office and add 8 more desks

2015: First corporate catering contract. Second Walk-in Refrigerator
